  1. Associated Press: Obama to Blacks–”Stop Complaining.”

But he was talking about the CBC! But he was talking about select members of the CBC!

Is the chastisement of African Americans a wise re-election strategy?

  2. Last week, a caller into an Atlanta radio show asked, “If Obama could intercede on behalf of Henry Louis ‘Skip’ Gates, and host a ‘Beer Summit,’ then why couldn’t President Obama say something about Troy Davis???? Nary a peep from PBO himself, but a recitation of Obama’s Illinois State Senator record from Jay Carney.”

All that I could say was, “OUCHHH!!!” It was a damning condemnation.

Skip Gates was charged with a “Massachussetts,” violation of “State” law. It wasn’t a federal matter. Yet, President Obama weighed in on Skip Gates behalf. There were no excuses about federal vs. state laws and authority as was the case of Troy Davis.

I was once passionate about the election of Senator Barack Obama, but from “here on out,” I’m gonna be pragmatic about the re-election of President Obama.

My peeps survived eight years of Bush. WEE can survive four years of Perry or Ronmney. WEE won’t die. WEE will multiply, lol. And someday we will have a LIBERAL LEADER as opposed to to a LIBERALLY-slanted Judge who seeks compromise.

      * The almost 3000 people who died on 9/11 didn’t survive 8 years of Bush

      * The over 3000 soldiers who died in Iraq didn’t survive 8 years of Bush

      * The over 1000 who drowned in New Orleans didn’t survive 8 years of Bush.

Well I guess it sucks to be them, right?

And as for that “Liberal Leader”, you might as well join Linus in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin. He’ll show up before your Moonbat Messiah will.

And with that, have a nice life.

Not waiting for a Great Pumpkin or Moonbat Messiah. Not waiting for anybody really. Some of us are getting-off of our asses and making things happen regardless of who occupies the White House.

I’m aware of all of PBO’s accomplishments. I have a favorable opinion of him, but there is definitely a segment of the African-American population that has transitioned from “strongly supporting,” him. Whether you choose to accept that fact or not, is your issue…not mine.

  3. FYI: If you have any questions regarding what has transpired at WEESeeYou.com in the last few weeks, feel free to ask on this thread.

There can be multiple sides to a story, but only one side will be the truth.

    • Okay I’ll bite. What happened? I had only been reading Wee See You for a few months before it got shut down, but it was my preferred place to get information.

      • One of the most beautiful aspects of WSY was our “Unbossed and Unbought” mantra.

Unfortunately, some folks were so hellbent on proving that mantra, that they overlooked their initial commitment. They overlooked the performance of necessary duties needed to maintain the site. And quite honestly, they overlooked basic “common sense.”

The site was placed under maintenance and any responsible persons (namely, any former WSY trustees) who claimed to be unaware of the “maintenance mode,” taking effect are guilty of their own negligence of the responsibilities to which they committed.

It all boils down to, “If you don’t show up, you don’t get a vote.” That will be as true on Election Day 2012 as it was in the defining moments of this site.

For better or for worse, this site is under new management.
To those persons who have effectively moved on, they are wished only the best in their future endeavors.

Troy Davis funeral set for Saturday in Savannah

Associated Press SAVANNAH — The family of Troy Davis has scheduled his funeral for Saturday in his hometown of Savannah.

Davis’ younger sister, Kimberly Davis, said Tuesday the public is invited to attend the 11 a.m. funeral service at Jonesville Baptist Church.

Davis was executed in Georgia’s death chamber last week for the 1989 slaying of off-duty Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail. Davis insisted he was innocent, but courts ultimately upheld his conviction. Thousands of supporters worldwide protested Davis’ execution, saying the case raised too many doubts about his guilt.

Because some people recanted their testimony, the Davis case has added to the debate over eyewitness reliability.
